Loctite 270 High Strength Bolt Stabilizer 50ml

It is designed to permanently fix and seal threaded connections. 

The product is placed between two metal surfaces. and dries in an airless environment, preventing loosening and sealing under shock and vibration. 

LOCTITE® 270™ is particularly suitable for heavy-duty applications, such as studs in engine bearings, stud nuts in pump bearings or where high strength is required. like other connections. 

LOCTITE® 270™ exhibits a strong drying performance. 

Not only on active metals (e.g. brass, copper) but also on stainless steel and plated surfaces. It also works on passive surfaces such as. 

The product has high temperature performance and can tolerate oily surfaces. 

Anti-corrosion fluids work on the surface despite various oil contaminations for lubrication and cutting purposes.

NSF, P1 category approved, can be used for sealing purposes in process areas that do not come into direct contact with food but process food.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This product is powered by pure oxygen and / or it is not recommended for use in oxygen-rich systems. 

It should not be used for sealing purposes in chlorine or strong oxidizing materials.

In cases where water-based washing systems are used for surface cleaning before adhesion, it is important to check the compatibility of the washing solution with the adhesive. 

In some cases. Water-based products may affect drying and the performance of the adhesive. 

This product is not recommended for use on plastics under normal conditions (especially on thermoplastic materials where stress cracks may occur on plastics). 

On such surfaces. It is recommended that the user confirm the product by testing it on the surface.

Usage instruction:

For installation 

1. For best results, clean all surfaces (interior and exterior) with a LOCTITE® cleaning solvent and allow to dry. 

2. If the drying speed is too slow, use a suitable activator. Please see Drying Speed ​​vs Activator chart for reference. If necessary, wait for it to dry after applying the activator. 

3. To prevent the product from coagulating in the nozzle, do not contact the nozzle tip with the metal surface during application. .

 4. For Open-Tipped Holes, apply a few drops of the product on the bolt at the point where it meets the nut. . 

5. For Blind Holes, apply a few drops of product to the threads at the bottom end (one-third) of the blind hole or onto the threads in the middle of the blind hole. 

6. For Sealing Applications, apply 360oC to the entire diameter of the male connection part's threads, leaving the first thread empty. For larger gears and gaps, repeat the application using a sufficient amount of product in the female part. 

7. Assemble and tighten the connection as required. 

For disassembly 

1. Disassemble with standard hand tools. 

2. In rare cases, in applications where the engagement length is excessive, hand tools may not work for disassembly; in this case, heat the bolt or nut locally to approximately 250 °C. Remove the connection while it is hot. 

3. Heat the assembled part locally to approximately 250 °C. Disassemble the part while it is hot. 

For cleaning 

1. Dried product can be removed using a suitable Loctite solvent and mechanical abrasion such as a wire brush.
